The basement had exposed block walls and concrete floors.
An old sink and mini fridge occupied the space.
Here's a look at the stairs before we started the transformation.
Cabinets and a countertop chosen by the customer plus an actual sink were installed to complete a small kitchenette.
Gray faux-wood flooring was installed. This flooring has the attractive look of real wood, but is actually made with inorganic materials making it water-resistant and moldproof.
We also installed a TBF drop ceiling with energy-efficient lighting as well as interior doors in the space.

We installed new stair treads and risers in a color chosen by the customer.
The kitchenette is complete! The homeowner was able to customize his basement by selecting the cabinets, countertop and sink hardware.
With the TBF system (walls, ceiling, faux-wood flooring in the color gray), a small kitchenette plus new stair treads & risers, this already looks like a totally different basement!
